As part of our 'People who help us' topic we visited the local fire station.
We had chance to look around the fire station and ask questions about how firefighters help us. Mrs Lord and Mrs Cornforth even tried the firefighters uniform on with help from the children. We looked at the fire engines and all the equipment they used. We sat in the fire engines - which was lots of fun. We went outside and listened to the siren, but only if we cheered and clapped loud enough! To finish our visit off, we had the opportunity to use the hose to see if we could knock over cones.
After our visit we painted pictures and we will be writing about our visit in our English lessons.
You can see more photos from our visit in our 'People who help us' photo gallery.
