Student Government

Our Student Government is a group of mixed year students that meet once a week to discuss current affairs and debate on relevant and newsworthy issues and any school business. A group of twelve students travelled to The Houses of Parliament recently to see how a real life parliament works and functions.  The students visited The House of Commons, The House of Lords and the 1000 year old Westminster Hall. The trip was a huge success and was a real education for the whole group.

The student government are currently considering a cabinet ‘reshuffle’ with the vision of having a Student Government representative for each house.  The role of our Student Government is to provide a voice for the students whilst offering a student perspective to aid school leaders and teachers in varied decision making.  The Student Government have meetings with Mrs Dench regarding proposals and have led whole school assemblies.
