We are very proud of Steve Dewhurst, a member of staff at the academy, for raising over £1,000 for the British Acoustic Neuroma Association.

Steve raised sponsorship for the charity by completing the 100km South Coast Challenge in 20 hours 59 minutes and 57 seconds, and was 131st out of almost 2000 people.

During the walk, Steve spoke to a number of veteran 100km walkers who told him it was one of the toughest they’d done with more elevation than on any other ultra-challenge in the UK (equivalent to up and down Snowdon almost 3 times spread across the 100km).  Over 300 people pulled out of the challenge without finishing – again showing what a fantastic achievement for Steve this is.
Steve loved every minute of the challenge and is already planning his next 100km in the Cotswolds next year!

Steve would like to pass his thanks to everyone who sponsored and supported him.
