Year 5 enjoyed a Viking Day on Thursday 8 September.

The children had a fantastic day, and in their own words:

Ben, "It was great fun because we played Viking games, and we learned how to fight like Vikings. We also learned how to speak some Nordic words.  It was really interesting."

Robyn, "It was pretty good because he had actual weapons used by Vikings, and also we were allowed to make our own swords."

Thierry, "The Vikings took over some of England and some of the days of the week are named after Vikings, like Thursday is named after Thor."

Sophie, "I liked learning about the life of the Vikings."

Skyanne, "I liked it because we thought his swords were not real, but they were, and he nearly decapitated me!!"
