Today at school we have been learning about why we make Christingles.  The children in EYFS now know that the orange represents the world, and that the red ribbon wrapped around it indicates God’s love wrapped around the world and the blood shed by Jesus on the cross.

We learnt that the dried fruit and sweets were symbols of God’s creations and the candle that they put in the top of their orange symbolises Jesus who is the light of the world.
