Mental Health Awareness Week started on Monday with an assembly delivered by Mrs Walledge. She talked about how we are going to complete the collective marathon attempt as a school. Mrs Walledge was lucky enough to meet the inspirational Ben Smith, and he even sent us a personal message wishing us lots of luck.
Throughout the course of this week we will be doing lots of fantastic things. On Thursday we are having a "being ourselves" non-uniform day where we can express ourselves in lots of different ways. After school on Thursday there is also the opportunity to buy cakes and tickets for some amazing raffle prizes.
We are doing all of this to help Mrs Walledge to raise money for MIND. She is running the London marathon for the charity this year; we are all very proud of her at St John’s.
