Friday afternoon saw the children celebrate Christingle with a whole school assembly.

The assembly was led by Andrew and Daniel from the Earlsfield Community church.  Prior to the assembly all of the children made their own Christingle orange.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank Daniel and his fellow volunteers for their work with our children.  Once again, they they were fantastic as they have been all year.

The assembly itself was opened by Mr Woolerton with the lighting of the Prophecy and Bethlehem candles (hope and peace) on the advent crown.  Following this Daniel and Andrew taught the children what each element of the Christingle orange represented.  A collection of prayers were shared before closing the assembly with the school prayer and Lord’s Prayer.

The Christingle service was thoroughly enjoyed by all and we look forward to celebrating Chrstingle again at St John’s church on Tuesday 13 December.
