On Thursday 16 March, St John’s celebrated British Science Week by having a Science Day.
Children learnt about a range a scientists - past and present – along with experiencing a variety of exciting science experiments. Year 6, Year 5 and Year 4 had the opportunity to visit St Hugh's to work in the science labs, which was very exciting.
Children watched science demonstrations and learnt about the science involved in them and carried out their own experiments in the labs. Year 3 skyped Artic Explorers and learnt about their experiences in the Artic, and Year 6, had the opportunity to plan and deliver science to Nursery, Reception and Year 2.
A great learning experience was had by all, pupils and teachers alike as you can see from our photographs.
